Review: No Alcohol Company’s Rosé

Hello, everyone, and happy holiday season!! This review is long overdue (and not just because I started working again and neglected my blog). I stumbled upon this brand on instagram and was immediately taken with the bottle design. After voicing my love for it, No Alcohol Company was kind enough to offer to ship me a sample of their wines free of charge!!! It’s worth noting that I in no way started this blog for monetary purposes. I simply wanted to share my experience exploring the non alcoholic options and hopefully inspire others to do the same. With that being said, I am human and I LOVE getting free stuff! I was like a kid on Christmas opening this package. Also, this is an expensive hobby (can we PLEASE lower the prices on drinks without alcohol?!) and samples allow me to review even more products!

So I want to start this review with a huge thank you and shoutout to NoAlchCo for their generosity! I sincerely apologize for the delay in reviewing this wine. If anything, I was so touched by the gift that I put off writing the review until I could do it the justice it deserves. So without further or due, let’s get started!

First things first, these are the most eye-catching wine bottles I’ve ever seen. I didn’t even want to open them because they looked so pretty on my wine shelves. Taste aside, I think I could make a solid argument for buying this wine simply for decorative purposes. Maybe it’s the artist in me (I use that term loosely as I am incapable of drawing or painting anything), but the bottles are truly a work of art. I don’t know who the graphic designer is over at No Alcohol Company, but they deserve a raise. I also just love the different color schemes depending on the type of wine. When I buy this wine again, I will be getting all the varieties because they look awesome as a set (as you can see for yourself)!

I wanted to start with the rosé because it’s probably my favorite wine variety from a purely aesthetic standpoint and they don’t seem to be as prevalent in the non-alcoholic industry. There’s just something so
girly and fun about having a pink drink, especially one in a wine glass. Rosé also just screams elegance to me - it’s a very versatile wine. The color of this rosé is the perfect peachy, pink that characterizes rosé. As I’ve said before, some NA rosés can have a slightly off-putting color, but not this one.

You can tell a lot about wine just by its smell, and smelling this one, I knew it was going to be good. It smells fresh and crisp. It has a hint of sweetness to it but without much fruitiness. Per my mom, it smells like a normal rosé (which from her is a big compliment)

It tastes very refreshing! I do get a hint of something pleasantly sour that didn’t come through in the smell. It reminds me almost of the tart flavor of green apples. It is a tad less forthcoming flavor-wise compared to alcoholic rosés, almost like you’re drinking a rosé with ice that has started to melt. So it may taste a bit watered down, but that just adds to the refreshing nature of the wine! The more I drink,
the more I like it. It’s very light, which makes it a good wine to sip. I would definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a wine to drink during the afternoon or outside on a hot day.

Stay tuned for reviews on the remaining wines from No Alcohol Company (now that I’ve finally started to drink them instead of using them as decor)! In the meantime, check out their website so you can try the wine for yourself or for some fun bottles to spruce up your bar display!
