Don’t Do it Yourself (DDIY) Mocktails

Many of you probably thought this section was a typo, so allow me to explain. I love mocktails. I think they are an amazing invention and I truly hope that one day I’ll find them on the menu at every restaurant. With that being said, mocktails always seem to be complex and time consuming to make, as if we need to add a thousand ingredients to make up for taking out the alcohol.

Part of the appeal of certain alcoholic beverages is that they require very minimal time and effort. When I was drinking, the most effort I put into making a drink was combining 3 ingredients (vodka + tonic + lime). So, as part of my non-alcoholic journey, I decided to search for premade canned mocktails to supplement the ease of most alcoholic drinks. These are the best options I’ve found (so far)!

Top 5 Canned Mocktails

  • Stress-relieving and mood-boosting! This “functional seltzer” is packed with adaptogens, nootropics, and botanicals. It comes in 4 flavors (my favorites are peach mango and blackberry lemon).

  • Non-Alcoholic functional beverages. Filled with adaptogens, nootropics, and botanics, these cans offer different benefits like peace, immunity, energizer, and joy.

  • Founded by Katy Perry to “put the fun in functional”, these drinks are full of adaptogenic ingredients to help you unwind and relax (without the threat of a hangover)!

  • This brand offers tons of options (including portable powders, zero proof cocktails, magnesium & adaptogen infused sparkling waters, and hemp & adaptogen infused sparkling waters) to keep you calm in any situation.

  • For fans of a stiff drink, these mocktails utilize “afterglow” to simulate the enjoyable warmth of alcohol. Options include non-alcoholic cucumber G&T, paloma, apero spritz, vodka spritz, and cuba libre.
